Description

Fitzroy isn't a common name in today's world. Yet, he invented something that was of great use in the yesteryears. The Fitzroys Storm Glass was an unusual yet effective instrument used centuries ago to predict the weather. Simply put, Fitzroy was one of those cool dudes in the past who were extremely good at problem solving. When he figured out that he needed something to predict storms (which was very important since he was the captain of a ship!), he came up with the Storm Glass!

Though not as accurate as today's high tech instruments and equipment, Fitzroys Storm Glass is a classy instrument that can add a lot of décor to your living room or study.

It is made from hand blown glass, stands 23 cms tall, and is filled with distilled water, ethanol, camphor, ammonium chloride, and potassium nitrate. Reading it is pretty simple - if it's clear; the weather is clear and if it's cloudy; the weather is cloudy! It could also indicate thunderstorms!

Whether you wanna really use it to predict weather or just a piece of antique on your desk, the Fitzroys Storm Glass would serve you well. You could now purchase it online. It also makes for an exquisite gift idea for a lot of people including your dad and mum.
